The "Combined Defense Services “Examination (CDS) is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

Eligibility for CDS 2016:-
Nationality:- A candidate must either be
a) A citizen of India
b) A subject of Bhutan
c) A subject of Nepal
d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 01, 1962 with the of permanently settling in India'
e) A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age Limit, Gender and Marital Status:-
Please note that the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/ Higher Secondary School Passing Certificate will be concerned as final.
